Leviathans Cross / Alchemical Sulfer

The Alchemical symbol of Sulfur, also known as Leviathans Cross (or Satans Cross).

Often associated with the fire and brimstone of hell. 

To alchemists, sulfur was seen as the individual signature of the plant, animal, mineral, or metal in question. It was what gave each form of life its own unique characteristics.

Leviathans Cross was originally the symbol for the element which was called brimstone in antiquity, also known as sulfur. The association of sulfur with Satanism has its origins in its use as the symbol for sulfur by European alchemists.
